Throwing out the first pitch at a baseball game is a huge honor, but Kendall Coyne added her own twist to the simple toss.

The gold medalist, who helped the U.S. Women's Olympic Hockey team win gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Peyongchang, used her hockey stick to throw the first pitch to pitcher Miguel Gonzalez, who played catcher.

Coyne, a Chicago-area native, wore her gold medal out to the game and posed for photos with Gonzalez.

She also helped the U.S. Women's Olympic Hockey team win silver at the Sochi Olympics four years ago.
