I dislike to do half-done work: Shakib

Country’s premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan said he likes to do full-time work rather than doing little by little.

The left-handed all-rounder got banned himself for corruption offences by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for two years with one suspended year after he admitted the charges and accepted his suspension instead of a hearing.

After getting banned, Shakib has minimal work to do for cricket. So, he is enjoying his leisure time with his family and neonatal baby girl in the United States rather focusing on cricketing activities.

In an interview to a leading Bengali media, Shakib said if he wants, he can then work on his fitness and other stuff but he will not do as he doesn’t like to work partially rather than like to work with full focus.

He also said when he will stand on a situation where there will be two or three months left for his resumption to cricket he is confident enough that he can make a comeback.

“If I want, I can then do it. Not much is being done now. In fact, there is not much cricketing focus now. I don’t want to do anything half-done. When I do anything I do it like full-time work. Now full time with the family, and when the game will start and if I get into such a situation, when there are two or three months left, I can focus full time on there,” Shakib Al Hasan said.

“When the time draws to a close, for example, when there will be two months left then I might think about it more or focus more. I don’t think I have much reason to worry about that until then,” Shakib told the newspaper.

Shakib said he is giving his full-time to his family especially his newborn baby daughter Errum.

“I do my duty till Fajr prayers, I then get up before the Azan of Johar,” he said.

“Then from Johar, everyone tries to take care of the child. And I take care of the whole time from 11 or 12 o'clock at night before the Fajr prayers. Basically this is my main routine. The rest of the time I spend with Alayna, watching TV or watching the news of my country,” Shakib concluded.
