Machado remains unsigned as pitchers and catchers report to spring training this week.

The 26-year-old has also had meetings with the Phillies, White Sox and Yankees and has other teams interested in completing short-term deals with him, as well.

Machado is coming off of his fourth All-Star appearance last season. He hit .297 with 37 home runs and 107 RBIs with the Orioles and Dodgers.

More than 100 free agents remain available in MLB this offseason, including Machado and Bryce Harper.

The Padres also flew to Las Vegas this offseason to meet with Harper.
