Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen will undergo heart surgery Nov. 26.

He is expected to miss two to eight weeks, but the Dodgers believe he will be ready for spring training.

Jansen has dealt with an irregular heartbeat for an extended period of time and went on the disabled list in August when the issue came up again.

He started to see an accelerated heartbeat before a game against the Rockies in Colorado.

He had to be taken to the hospital and his heart had to be shocked back into rhythm.

He was then put on the 10-day disabled list and given blood-thinning medication.

Jansen tallied 38 saves and a 3.01 ERA in 69 appearances last season.
