MLB hot stove: Mike Moustakas returning to Brewers ‘seems inevitable,’ report says

Mike Moustakas could be heading back to Milwaukee.

The 30-year-old free agent returning to the Brewers “seems inevitable,” according to a report from The Athletic. Milwaukee could move Travis Shaw to second base this season if it re-signs Moustakas, the report says.

Moustakas began 2018 with the Royals, but was sent to the Brewers at the trade deadline in exchange for two minor leaguers.

The two-time All-Star slashed .251/.315/.459 in 152 total games in 2018. He also hit 28 home runs and tallied 95 RBIs.

The Brewers finished last season with a 96-67 record and advanced to the NLCS, where they fell to the Dodgers in seven games.
