Tom Coughlin was not the last key figure to lose his job with the Jaguars, who have parted ways with Offensive Coordinator John DeFilippo.

John DeFilippo out as Jacksonville Jaguars OC

John DeFilippo is out as offensive coordinator of the Jacksonville Jaguars, who will have a third coach fill the position in as many years next season.

The former Cleveland Browns and Minnesota Vikings OC arrived at the start of a 2019 season in which the Jags ultimately disappointed in going 6-10.

Tom Coughlin was fired as the Jaguars' VP of football operations in December, but head coach Marrone held on to his position and will lead the search for DeFilippo's replacement.

"The Jacksonville Jaguars and offensive coordinator John DeFilippo have mutually agreed to part ways," the team announced on Monday.

DeFilippo was formerly quarterbacks coach for the Philadelphia Eagles during their Super Bowl win at the end of the 2017 season and had been mooted as a head coaching candidate prior to his spells with the Vikings and Jags.

The Eagles have a vacancy at OC after Mike Groh was removed from that position, while the coach who succeeds DeFilippo will inherit a quarterback battle between Nick Foles and Gardner Minshew.
