four

FOUR! Azhar Ali to Dean Elgar. Back of a length, down leg side on the front foot pulling, well timed past fine leg for 4 runs.

Way down the leg side and pulled around the corner to the fence. South Africa take the win by nine wickets and it has been a completely dominant three and a bit days for them. With that win they also take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
Dean Elgar battled hard this morning with the ball nibbling around and some even taking off, Hashim Amla felt the full force of one of the deliveries on his arm. That and the Aiden Markram injury will be the only thing worrying South Africa as their performance with both bat and ball was exemplary. Pakistan on the other hand haven't had the best of times with bat in hand and they might decide to make a change or two. Do join us on the 11th for the third and final Test at Johannesburg.

9.4

four

FOUR! Azhar Ali to Dean Elgar. Half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control past long on for 4 runs. Drilled back over Azhar Ali's head. Elgar is not going to let the part-timer settle.

APPEAL! Verified by umpire after REFERRAL. Mohammad Abbas to Dean Elgar. Short, outside off stump on the back foot, Left to wicketkeeper for no runs, by Ahmed, appeal made for Caught. Angled into the body and Elgar manages to get his gloves and bat out of the way in time. Pakistan ask for the review just in case, or more hope, that it has brushed something on the way through.

Mohammad Amir to Hashim Amla. Seaming in length ball, to leg on the front foot, hit body to short leg for no runs, fielded by Khan. Wow! What a delivery from Amir. On a length but it hits a crack and takes off, striking Amla on the back bicep. South Africa will want to get this game over very quickly before too many of these deliveries appear.
Amla is going off, that must have hurt quite a lot to make Amla retire hurt.

catch

OUT! Caught. Mohammad Abbas to Theunis de Bruyn. Short, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, Gloved to wicketkeeper, by Ahmed. First strike for Pakistan. The usual suspect Abbas with the wicket but not in the normal circumstances. A rare bouncer which has surprised de Bruyn and rushed the batsman. Just a thin glove through to Sarfraz to leave South Africa 4-1.
